Description
Coarse tapered marblestele, broken above and at bottom right. The inscription in a sunken panel with double moulding; below the inscription, incised cross with tendrils growing from its base.

Commentary
For the cross with tendrils incised at the base of the stele, see the commentary to MAMA XI 290 (1956/148: Hoydus/Akıncılar). The name Μαριάμη, a Hellenized transliteration of the Jewish personal name Miryam, is also attested in Lykaonia in MAMA VII 98 (Hacılar: Laodikeia) and MAMA VIII 127 (Laminger-Pascher 1992: 198-9, no. 325: Alkaran/Yenisu: Isauropolis); see further IJO II, p.490, n.30.
