The Attalid foundation of Dionysopolis, situated in the middle Maeander valley, is yet to be firmly located; the small fortified settlement at Asar Tepe, just south of the modern town of Bekilli, is a plausible candidate. The two monuments republished here were both recorded by Ballance in the vicinity of Bekilli in 1956.1
