Line 1 apparently represents the beginning of the inscription; cf. Cronin 1902: 360, no. 121 (Sadettin Hanı), which begins τύμβος ὅδ᾿ ἐν χθονίῃ κατ[έχει πο]λὺ φίλτατον ἄνδρα.
