The name Βάλβος does not seem to be attested elsewhere in Lykaonia, but cf. MAMA XI 324 (1956/139, Mernek [Karakaya]: Βάλβιλλα). In line 2, we ought presumably to restore τὸ [μνημεῖον] or conceivably τὸ [μηδικόν]: cf. Cronin 1902: 124, no. 57 (Konya), Α̣ἴ̣λ̣ι̣(ος) Μαρκελλῖνος̣ ὑποδηματουργὸς κατεσκεύασεν τ̣ὸ μηδικὸν ἐκ τῶν ἰδίων ἑαυτῷ καὶ τῇ γυν̣αικὶ καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις. On the term μηδικόν, see Kubinska 1968: 156.
